Grocery delivery with cash on delivery
With Colmado a neighbor orders from your shelves online and pays cash when the courier arrives — no card on file, no prepayment, just the order noted and collected at the door.
- Cash on delivery is a first-class payment method, not an add-on.
- No card or account required to place an order.
- Your own delivery zones, fees, and minimum-order amounts.
- Honest delivery-time estimates shown as a range, never a false promise.
- Order tracking from noted to delivered, in Spanish or English.
Why cash on delivery still wins in the barrio
Plenty of regulars don't want to put a card online for a $6 grocery run — and plenty don't have one. Cash on delivery keeps them in the flow: they order, you pack, the courier collects the cash at the door. Colmado treats it as the default rail it is in a neighborhood store, not a fallback hidden behind a card form.
The order, tracked end to end
Once an order is placed it walks a simple, visible path — Anotado, Empacando, En camino, Entregado — so the customer knows where their groceries are without calling the store. Delivery time is shown as an honest range based on distance, not a countdown you can't keep.
Frequently asked
- Does Colmado charge the customer's card before delivery?
- No. On the cash-on-delivery rail there is no card and no upfront charge — the courier collects cash at the door.
- Can I still set a delivery fee and a minimum order?
- Yes. Each delivery zone carries its own fee, minimum order, and optional free-delivery threshold, applied automatically when the address falls in the zone.
